Revelation by Robert Frost

We make ourselves a place apart
Behind light words that tease and flout,
But oh, our agitated heart
Till someone really find us out.

‘Tis pity if the case require
(Or so we say) that in the end
We speak the literal to inspire
The understanding of a friend.

But so with all, from babes that play
At hide-and-seek to God afar,
So all who hide too well away
Must speak and tell us where they are.

  1. Beautiful site. Love your theme. Also, your Subjects and Categories are spot on. Am still exploring this new Word Press service. Will try to link to you and be back often. Thank you for this lovely place.

    • Thanks so much for your kind words. And thank you for linking! I hope you find more poetry that you enjoy.
As for the broken link, that’s not mine, it’s the person who designed this theme, looks like their website is down, but I can’t remove that link.
